collective-pitch lever

Generally referred to as just collective. A control that alters the pitch of all the blades of a rotor collectively and does so simultaneously, in the same direction, and by the same amount. The lever is located on the left side of the pilot’s seat and operates in an up-and-down manner, pivoting about the rear of the lever.
